The first training each new team member gets at American Retail Technologies is Customer Service Training. They watch the video "In Search Of Excellence". In one scene, the trainer at Walt Disney World asks the new Disney employees, "What business are we in? What do we do at Walt Disney World?" The answer is, "WE MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY".

After the video, we talk about what business we are in. Yes, we sell IT Services, Payment Solutions and Point Of Sale Computer Systems... and we have excellent prices, quality products, and efficient distribution. BUT the bottom line is we are in the same business as Disney. "WE MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY". Sure, you probably won't whistle Zippity do da when you get your order... but if we don't make you happy, you won't come back... and you shouldn't!
